The largest of the traditional tanneries of Fes, still working at the heart of the medina by the river. Hides are still worked by hand in stone vats.

The story

The stone vats of Chouara, leather drying on the terraces, the sprig of mint handed to visitors. LES TANNERIES will not try to reproduce the raw smell of the workshop: it would rather interpret, with respect, a craft and the people who carry it on.
