Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, the Fes el-Bali medina is described by the organisation as one of the most extensive and best-preserved historic towns of the Arab-Muslim world. Its lanes, workshops and houses are still lived in.

The story

At dawn, as the lanes of the medina wake, the first human activity mingles with the city's ancient materials. FÈS 06:30 seeks to translate this passage from the stillness of morning to the medina's gradual awakening.
